BACKGROUND: The Vietnamese Tribune Weekly (Dan Viet) was established in 1993. Throughout its existence, the newspaper has been recognised as a leading and respected voice of the Vietnamese community in Australia. It is headed by professionals in diverse areas of expertise such as journalism, information technology and business management.

SPECIAL FEATURES: As one of the longest serving Vietnamese language media organisations in Australia, The Vietnamese Tribune Weekly (Dan Viet) has three unique features:

1. Sound organisational structure and wide network within the community to cater for the whole spectrum of the Vietnamese people in Australia. Dan Viet has several state branches and is distributed nationwide, mainly in major centres such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
2. Specialised articles ranging from Government services to private business to serve readers’ interests in essential areas such as immigration, education, finance, investment, legal, social and political issues. The bilingual section also has the potential to attract an 80,000 second generation Vietnamese readers in Australia.
